Global Assistance with a Local Approach

Under Mondial’s “Marco Polo” project well over a thousand hospitals around the world have been visited and assessed by Mondial Medical Directors. This provides in-depth knowledge of each healthcare facility’s standards and capabilities, which is vital in ensuring that every patient receives an appropriate level of care.  

Mondial Assistance is the largest assistance company in the world, boasting the largest Assistance Network with more than 400,000 service providers globally. We are not patting ourselves on the back, but this strength should give our customers the confidence that we can help them when they need it.

If our primary focus is making sure that customers are properly cared for, the next important consideration is making sure that the cost of the treatment is also appropriate. We are committed to providing Medical Assistance services that include two key attributes: Service Quality and Cost Containment. 

Our Cost Containment services are aimed at controlling costs in several ways:

  • Via discount agreements with hospital partners
  • Detailed knowledge of hospital pricing enables us to challenge hospitals on pricing that is outside of an acceptable range.

Mondial classifies hospitals according to the quality of care and monitors charges see that hospitals of equivalent standards also have equivalent pricing. Close monitoring of each medical situation ensures that the treatment is appropriate to the patient’s condition and that no unnecessary or unrelated treatment is provided.
